The Opportunity
Accelerate your nursing career through travel healthcare. This full-time Med Surg Inpatient Rehab nursing role places you at the center of patient recovery and rehabilitation. You'll work 36 hours per week on the night shift (three 12-hour shifts), contributing to a multidisciplinary team dedicated to patient outcomes and professional development. The assignment begins July 13, 2026, and runs for 13 weeks—ideal for nurses seeking both structure and flexibility in their travel placements.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical and rehabilitation inpatients throughout your shift
- Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and clinical progression; document findings and communicate changes accurately
- Administer medications and evidence-based treatments per physician orders and facility protocols
- Perform wound assessments, dressing management, and post-operative care as indicated
- Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and recovery goals
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care
- Ensure compliance with hospital standards, infection control measures, and regulatory requirements
Who We're Looking For
- Current, unencumbered RN license in good standing (Kansas or multi-state compact)
- Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience in medical-surgical or acute care nursing
- Demonstrated comfort and reliability working night shifts
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills across disciplines
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments, policies, and team dynamics
- Current BLS/CPR certification; ACLS preferred
