About the Role
As a Travel Cath Lab Tech with Triage Staffing LLC, you'll deliver critical technical support in a state-of-the-art catheterization laboratory. This role combines clinical expertise with the flexibility and growth opportunities that travel healthcare provides. You'll work a day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week (6:30 AM to 7:00 PM), maintaining a 36-hour weekly commitment during this 13-week engagement in Springfield, Sangamon County.
What You'll Do
- Operate and maintain catheterization lab equipment with precision and adherence to clinical protocols
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and supplies for cardiology and interventional procedures
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures
- Monitor patient vitals and responses throughout procedures, ensuring safety and comfort
- Maintain detailed procedural records and ensure compliance with medical documentation standards
- Support a collaborative team environment while upholding the highest standards of patient care
What We're Looking For
- Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent credential
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on cath lab experience in a hospital or clinical setting
- Proficiency with angiography systems and cardiovascular monitoring equipment
- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Excellent communication and clinical decision-making abilities
- Ability to adapt quickly to new equipment, facilities, and team dynamics—a hallmark of travel healthcare professionals
