Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential global logistics organization in their search for a Timberland Procurement Senior Manager based in Mexico. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to drive sustainable sourcing strategies and manage critical forestry partnerships across the Americas.

We are seeking a strategic procurement leader who will develop timber sourcing initiatives, build partnerships with forestry investment organizations, and oversee complex supplier relationships. You'll play a key role in securing competitive timber supply while supporting major industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sustainable category sourcing strategies for timber and forestry that align with global and local procurement priorities
• Lead category management for key spend areas using data-driven insights, market intelligence, and advanced procurement techniques
• Support project management of forestry and industrial initiatives in Tabasco, Mexico
• Deliver timber-related projects identified by global leadership on time and within budget
• Identify and develop new sources of timber supply globally, with focus on the Americas (USA, Canada, Central and South America)
• Map the landscape of Timber Investment Management Organizations (TIMOs), Timberland Real-Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), and Plantation Management Companies
• Lead complex negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and manage pricing strategies
• Oversee supplier performance management to ensure consistent delivery on quality, cost, and performance requirements
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators for procurement activities, providing regular updates to senior leadership
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and ethical standards
• Support execution of contracts and service level agreements with chosen forestry partners

What We're Looking For

• Strong background in strategic sourcing and category management, preferably within timber, forestry, or natural resources sectors
• Proven experience developing and executing procurement strategies that deliver long-term value
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with senior business stakeholders
• Advanced negotiation skills with track record of securing favorable supplier terms
• Experience in supplier performance management and contract compliance
• Knowledge of forestry supply chains, timber markets, and related investment structures
• Strong analytical capabilities with ability to leverage market intelligence and data insights
• Project management experience, particularly in industrial or forestry contexts
• Expertise in risk management and supply chain optimization
• Excellent communication skills with ability to influence at senior levels
• Adaptability and empathy when working across diverse teams and cultures
• Fluency in English required; Spanish proficiency strongly preferred given Mexico location
