Technical Sales / Field Operations Manager

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential defense technology organization in a critical growth phase. This Technical Sales / Field Operations Manager role sits at the intersection of cutting-edge systems and strategic customer engagement across the UK Ministry of Defence and allied stakeholders.

You'll serve as the technical voice for advanced defense platforms, leading demonstrations, trials, and proof-of-concept activities while shaping how military and engineering partners understand and adopt next-generation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive product demonstrations, field trials, and proof-of-concept events with UK MoD stakeholders, integration partners, and defense engineering organizations
• Deliver technical presentations across intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, counter-drone, and AI-enabled systems portfolios
• Author detailed technical responses to capability briefs, solicited and unsolicited proposals, including compliance matrices and tailored product documentation
• Support business development efforts by building subject matter expertise across the product portfolio, including technical onboarding at international locations
• Act as liaison between sales and engineering teams, ensuring customer requirements are technically feasible and deliverable within required timelines
• Monitor and analyze the competitive landscape for similar defense platforms operating in the UK market

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in technical sales and product demonstrations within the defense sector
• Hands-on experience with military Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and/or Counter-UAS (C-UAS) platforms, or directly relatable civilian experience
• Current General Visual Line of Sight Certificate (GVC) and Remote Pilot Competency Level 1 qualifications
• Practical experience working with munitions and ordnance
• Demonstrated logistical planning skills with proven ability to coordinate complex field operations
• Exceptional communication abilities in both oral and written formats
• Willingness to travel internationally as operational needs require

Preferred qualifications:

• Remote Pilot Qualifications ranging from RPC-L1 to RPC-L4
• Previous experience within defense startups or emerging defense organizations
• Former UK Military Service at NCO level or above
