Storage Architect/IBM Spectrum Scale (DME) Consultant

We are representing a confidential enterprise technology client seeking an experienced Storage Architect with deep IBM Spectrum Scale expertise. This contract engagement focuses on deploying a multi-node scale-out file system integrated with enterprise storage infrastructure. Responsibilities

• Assess client environment readiness, including network configuration, directory services integration, and security compliance requirements
• Design and configure protocol support including NFS and SMB for enterprise file sharing
• Implement encryption, tiering, and active file management capabilities within the storage architecture
• Navigate integration complexity across storage protocols including NFS, FC, and iSCSI
• Support comprehensive testing phases and deliver thorough technical documentation
• Deploy a 4-node scale-out file system on enterprise server infrastructure integrated with existing storage platforms

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing IBM Spectrum Scale (formerly GPFS) in production environments
• Strong technical background with enterprise server platforms and storage array solutions
• Deep familiarity with enterprise directory services and security best practices
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex storage integration scenarios
• Excellent documentation skills and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders
• Experience working in regulated or high-security enterprise environments
