We are representing a confidential retail organization operating across Australia. Our client is seeking a Productivity Specialist to drive operational excellence and labor efficiency across their extensive multi-site network. This is a strategic role that combines analytical rigor with practical operational insight to optimize store performance and workforce effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve labor standards, productivity frameworks, and work measurement methodologies across the retail network
• Develop clear, practical labor standards that support efficient and commercially effective store execution
• Govern labor assumptions, activity timings, and productivity standards as operational requirements evolve
• Deliver work measurement insights that simplify store routines and reduce non-value adding activity
• Assess the impact of new processes, standards, and operating models on store workload, labor requirements, and execution capability
• Design practical implementation approaches that are simple, sustainable, and easy for Store Managers and field teams to adopt
• Provide operational productivity input into business cases, project plans, and change initiatives where store execution is impacted
• Collaborate with IT, Digital, and Project teams to design, implement, and optimize systems and tools that improve store productivity and reduce administration
• Generate productivity insights, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance labor effectiveness and operational performance

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience in productivity, labor standards, work measurement, operational improvement, workforce optimization, or store operations
• Proven ability to translate operational activity requirements into practical standards, processes, or tools for frontline teams
• Strong understanding of multi-site retail operations and the practical impact that process, system, and operating model changes have on stores
• Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret productivity, workload, labor, and operational performance data
• Experience supporting the design, implementation, or optimization of systems, reporting tools, and digital solutions that improve operational execution
• Passion for continuous improvement and delivering practical solutions that make it easier for stores to operate effectively
• Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work across IT, Digital, Operations, and Project teams
