About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential gaming technology organization seeking a full-stack development intern to tackle a high-volume search engine redesign. This is a final-year Master's (M2) internship based in Paris, France, with strong potential for permanent conversion upon successful completion.
Our client operates distributed, scalable architectures that process real-time data streams for hundreds of thousands of active users. You'll work on improving search relevance and performance across internal catalogs subject to frequent updates and strict latency requirements.
Responsibilities
- Rebuild the existing search engine to eliminate noise and improve result ranking algorithms
- Implement dynamic filtering capabilities and redesign the information hierarchy for better usability
- Develop autocomplete suggestions based on trending queries and recent search history using local LRU caching
- Optimize performance to meet real-time usage constraints—speed will determine feature viability
- Work across the full stack using React, TypeScript, Redux on the frontend and Node.js with Redis on the backend
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a Master's program (M2) completing a final internship requirement
- Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and Redux
- Backend experience with Node.js and Redis
- Understanding of search algorithms, result ranking, and caching strategies
- Performance optimization mindset for high-volume, real-time systems
- Ability to work full-time in Paris, France for the internship duration
- Fluency in French for daily collaboration
