Datavant is hiring a Staff Product Manager, Legal & Insurance to be based in Salem, Marion County. In this full-time role, you'll lead product strategy for solutions that help healthcare organizations comply with regulations, manage legal requirements, and collaborate securely on health data.
About the Role
As Staff Product Manager for Legal & Insurance at Datavant, you'll own the product vision and direction for solutions designed specifically for legal, compliance, and insurance teams in healthcare. You'll work with our product, engineering, and design teams to deliver functionality that helps healthcare providers, health plans, researchers, and life sciences companies navigate complex regulatory landscapes while collaborating on sensitive health data.
What You'll Do
- Define and communicate product strategy for legal and insurance-focused capabilities
- Partner with healthcare customers to understand legal and compliance pain points
- Lead cross-functional product initiatives from conception through launch and optimization
- Conduct research on healthcare regulatory trends, legal requirements, and market needs
- Collaborate with legal, engineering, and design teams to translate strategy into product roadmap
- Establish metrics to measure product impact and guide decision-making
- Mentor and guide junior product managers and cross-functional partners
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years in product management, with significant experience at senior or staff level
- Strong background in healthcare law, compliance, data privacy, or insurance operations
- Demonstrated success building and scaling B2B products in regulated industries
- Deep understanding of HIPAA, state privacy regulations, and healthcare compliance requirements
- Ability to lead and influence teams across functions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic thinking combined with execution excellence
