Senior Civil Design Engineer (Data Centers)

About the Role

As a Senior Civil Design Engineer focused on data centers, you'll take ownership of complex civil infrastructure projects from concept through construction. Working with a collaborative team of architects, MEP engineers, and project managers, you'll develop innovative solutions that balance structural integrity, site constraints, and operational efficiency. This is a full-time position that values technical excellence and strategic thinking.

What You'll Do

• Lead civil design for data center facilities, including site preparation, foundation systems, drainage, and earthwork design
• Develop detailed construction documents, specifications, and technical drawings using CAD and 3D modeling software
• Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies to optimize land use and infrastructure layouts
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate civil systems with cooling, power distribution, and utility requirements
• Perform engineering calculations for structural loads, soil conditions, and environmental impacts
• Provide construction administration support and respond to field requests during project delivery
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to project proposals and technical solutions

What We're Looking For

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil Engineering or ability to obtain one
• 10+ years of civil design experience, with demonstrated expertise in data center or industrial facility projects
• Proficiency in civil engineering software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of building codes, site development standards, and environmental regulations
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
