Staff Product Manager: Agentic Discovery

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential eCommerce technology client in their search for a Staff Product Manager: Agentic Discovery. This is a fully remote position working with a team that is reimagining product discovery through AI-powered experiences.

Our client is building the next generation of shopping experiences where AI agents help customers discover products in entirely new ways. As commerce shifts toward agentic interactions, they're investing in AI Shopping Assistants, recommendation engines, and product insights tools that fundamentally change how shoppers find what they need.

This is a high-impact, systems-level role where you'll own two critical areas: scaling agentic experiences from experiments into reliable, repeatable products, and building the business tooling that gives merchandising teams transparency and control over these AI-powered surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Drive measurable business impact across agentic discovery experiences, focusing on conversion, revenue, and engagement metrics rather than feature delivery
• Own the strategy and roadmap for business tooling and dashboards that make AI agent behavior visible and controllable for merchandising teams
• Build a repeatable framework for launching and measuring new agentic interfaces, reducing time-to-market for AI-powered experiences
• Define and instrument success metrics across the agentic discovery portfolio, creating transparency around what's working and why
• Partner with ML, engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to transform AI capabilities into production experiences that balance quality, latency, cost, and reliability
• Set multi-quarter vision and strategy for the Agentic Discovery area, aligning multiple teams behind coherent direction
• Ensure explainability, control, and guardrails are built into agentic experiences so business users can trust and adopt them
• Orchestrate across on-site experiences, off-site surfaces, and integrations to create a unified agentic discovery ecosystem

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of product management experience, with substantial time in AI/ML, search, or discovery products at senior or staff level
• Proven track record of moving business metrics at scale — usage, conversion, revenue — not just shipping features
• Experience building products for business users such as merchandisers or category managers, particularly tooling, dashboards, and operational controls
• Deep understanding of AI/ML and LLM-powered experiences, including the ability to reason about tradeoffs in quality, latency, cost, and reliability
• Comfort operating in both zero-to-one ambiguity and scaling proven concepts into repeatable processes
• Rigorous, measurement-first approach that ties every decision back to usage and business outcomes
• Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to align teams with different goals behind shared success metrics
• Natural instinct for building trust through transparency, control, and appropriate guardrails in AI experiences
• Ability to set strategic direction in undefined spaces and lead through clarity and credibility

Within your first year, you'll have shipped dashboard and tooling experiences adopted by both internal teams and customers, driven measurable lift in agentic experience performance, established repeatable launch processes, and begun aligning multiple teams behind a unified chapter vision.
