Staff Physician, 24/7 Care (1099)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential telehealth organization seeking staff physicians to deliver virtual care on a 1099 independent contractor basis. This is a fully remote opportunity available to licensed physicians across the United States who are passionate about expanding access to quality medical care through technology-enabled platforms.

As an independent contractor, you'll have the flexibility to supplement your existing clinical practice or build an entire telemedicine-focused career depending on your state licensure portfolio. You'll provide on-demand virtual consultations across multiple modalities, helping patients receive timely care when and where they need it most.

Responsibilities

• Deliver virtual medical services to patients through phone, video, and asynchronous consultation modalities
• Provide comprehensive care for on-demand visits requiring timely clinical assessment and treatment
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure network coverage and service level requirements are met
• Respond to priority cases as identified by clinical operations
• Maintain professional presence on the platform including current profile and credentials
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor within the virtual care physician network
• Support clinical quality initiatives and contribute to ongoing program improvement

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of clinical experience as a practicing physician
• Board Certification in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine required
• Active, unrestricted medical licensure in a minimum of four (4) states at time of hire
• Active DEA registration
• Clean professional record with no board disciplinary actions
• Eligible for and willing to enroll in applicable state and federal healthcare programs with no participation exclusions
• Previous telehealth experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records and computer-based clinical applications
• Demonstrated commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care delivery
• Strong collaborative skills and ability to build cross-functional relationships
• Passion for virtual care as a means of improving healthcare access

Work Authorization: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Pay

This is a 1099 independent contractor position with per-encounter compensation. Our client compensates as follows: $25 per phone consultation, $28 per video consultation, and $12 per asynchronous consultation.

As an independent contractor, you control your schedule and volume based on your availability and other professional commitments.
