Staff AI Engineer – Multi-Agent Frameworks

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI-native SaaS organization seeking a Staff AI Engineer - Multi-Agent Frameworks to join their AI Platform team. This is a remote position based in the USA.

Our client is building advanced intelligent agent platforms that enable users to create and deploy sophisticated AI systems with collaborative, multi-agentic capabilities. This backend-focused role requires deep expertise in AI, large language models, and orchestration frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain a robust platform enabling users to create and manage AI agents and their interactions
• Integrate and orchestrate multiple LLMs, ensuring seamless scalability for both individual and coordinated agent operations
• Leverage orchestration frameworks like LangGraph to build complex workflows and pipelines supporting diverse agent functionalities, including multi-agent coordination
• Develop and implement evaluation frameworks for testing AI agents in challenging scenarios, focusing on individual performance and system-level dynamics
• Stay current with AI advancements and incorporate latest research into the platform to enhance agent capabilities and collaboration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences
• Address AI privacy scenarios, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations within agent-based applications
• Contribute to search capabilities and integrate them into the AI platform for agent information access

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience working with multiple LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere, etc.) and understanding their strengths and limitations
• Expertise in orchestration software like LangGraph or similar frameworks for building and managing agent workflows
• Strong background developing evaluation frameworks for AI systems, particularly in complex testing environments
• Deep understanding of AI and machine learning fundamentals with a focus on backend engineering
• Passion for staying updated with latest AI developments and applying them to real-world problems in agent technologies
• Experience with AI privacy scenarios including data anonymization, secure data handling, and compliance
• Experience with search technologies and their integration into AI systems
• Experience building or deploying Multi-Agent Frameworks or Multi-Agent Systems
• Strong AI fluency and daily use of AI tools in professional work
