About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their team in Mexico. Our client operates a global spend management platform serving millions of users, and you'll be instrumental in maintaining and scaling their mission-critical infrastructure on public cloud.
This role focuses on supporting contract management solutions that enable enterprise customers to author, approve, and operationalize contracts at scale. You'll work at the intersection of development and operations, implementing site reliability engineering best practices to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Responsibilities
- Administer Linux machines, web servers, application servers, databases, and cloud infrastructure for customer environments
- Provide application support for Java and Ruby-based applications
- Own end-to-end availability and performance of mission-critical services
- Build automation to prevent problem recurrence and increase system reliability
- Develop tools and automation to enhance availability and performance
- Ensure data, services, and infrastructure are reliable, fault-tolerant, efficiently scalable, and cost-effective
- Collaborate with product and release engineering teams for new releases and maintenance
- Coordinate incident, problem, and change management processes
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergencies
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of professional experience managing large-scale production systems
- Hands-on experience with AWS or comparable cloud providers, with certification preferred
- Proven experience designing new services on AWS or comparable cloud platforms, including migration and deployment of cloud services
- Strong expertise with Terraform and configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, or equivalent
- Application support or development experience with Java or Ruby
- Proficient scripting skills in Python or Bash
- Excellent knowledge of large-scale web applications and distributed systems
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud deployment technologies
- Familiarity with observability tools like NewRelic, Datadog, or similar platforms
- Expertise in problem-solving and analyzing global-scale distributed systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Critical thinking mindset with a continuous improvement approach
