Liability Senior Claims Adjuster

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential insurance services organization in their search for a Liability Senior Claims Adjuster. This is a remote position servicing a client portfolio based in south Florida. Our talent team is working exclusively with this employer to identify experienced claims professionals who can handle complex liability exposures independently.

In this role, you'll investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve high-exposure liability claims including Commercial General Liability, Employer's Liability, Professional Liability, Law Enforcement Liability, and other casualty exposures. You'll work directly with defense counsel, manage litigation strategy, and maintain direct client relationships through status reporting and claim reviews.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations of liability claims, interviewing parties and establishing liability through fact-finding
• Analyze claim exposures and determine appropriate settlement strategies within legal frameworks
• Develop defense and litigation strategies in collaboration with attorneys, evaluating factual information for cost-effective resolutions
• Handle claims in accordance with statutory, regulatory, and ethical requirements as well as client guidelines
• Document all claim activity comprehensively, maintaining progressive action plans and utilizing diary systems effectively
• Identify and pursue risk transfer opportunities and third-party recovery on liability claims
• Monitor and adjust claim reserves for accuracy throughout the claim lifecycle
• Lead mediations, arbitrations, and trials alongside defense counsel
• Prepare and present claims reports and status updates to the client
• Maintain current knowledge of liability claims laws and maintain active licensing and continuing education

What We're Looking For

• Active Florida All-Lines Adjuster License (5-20 or 6-20) required
• Minimum of five years of experience handling all aspects of liability claims and subrogation with demonstrated high performance
• Proven experience with general liability, auto liability, complex liability, and professional liability claims
• Track record managing complex, litigated, and high-severity claims
• Extensive knowledge of applicable statutes, industry standards, and claims handling best practices
• Strong negotiation skills with ability to interpret claim documentation and settle matters effectively
• Proficiency with claims management software and business applications
• Willingness to travel for mediations, client meetings, and status reporting as needed
• Self-directed professional capable of working independently in a remote environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong customer service orientation
• Assertive, organized, and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities
