Spring 2027 Science Externship – International Program

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential environmental advocacy organization seeking a graduate-level science extern for spring 2027. This part-time opportunity is ideal for students passionate about environmental justice and international legal frameworks who need to fulfill academic credit requirements or graduation prerequisites.

The extern will work remotely within the United States or on a hybrid schedule, supporting international environmental initiatives across multiple continents. You'll gain exposure to cross-border environmental litigation, energy policy analysis, and the intersection of science and legal advocacy in diverse regulatory contexts.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze energy projects and environmental policies, preparing comprehensive memos summarizing findings
• Support compilation and synthesis of work across multiple geographical teams
• Assist with litigation support tasks including cite checking and documentation review
• Conduct scientific literature reviews and basic quantitative data analyses
• Present complex scientific information to varied audiences including legal professionals

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a graduate program in environmental science or related field with expected graduation between May 2027 and May 2028
• Must be eligible to receive academic credit or fulfill a graduation requirement through this externship
• Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite and ability to learn new technical tools
• Outstanding research skills with experience conducting scientific literature reviews
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Demonstrated commitment to environmental justice and inclusive partnership
• Ability to commit at least 10 hours per week for 12-16 weeks during spring 2027
