Sports and Tournaments Account Manager

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential travel management organization that specializes in sports, entertainment, and corporate events. We're seeking a Sports and Tournaments Account Manager to take full ownership of the client experience while expanding their sports clientele. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to work with high-profile teams and tournaments across the United States.

This role requires someone who thrives under pressure, excels at relationship-building, and can deliver exceptional service during peak seasons. You'll be the primary point of contact for sports clients, managing everything from initial requests through final delivery while coordinating air, housing, and ground transportation logistics.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary relationship manager for sports teams and tournament clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery
• Communicate travel options at a high level, presenting solutions for air, housing, and ground transportation services
• Develop and maintain trusted relationships with coaches and administrative staff
• Review and finalize all client options before deadlines, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client priorities
• Coordinate with vendors and internal operations teams to deliver complete travel solutions
• Resolve issues proactively to meet itinerary delivery dates
• Leverage existing relationships to generate referrals and identify new business opportunities
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail throughout the entire trip lifecycle
• Adapt quickly to changing requirements driven by client needs or external factors
• Work collaboratively with management to achieve market goals and distribute workload effectively

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years of professional experience in an athletic client-serving and/or sales role
• Bachelor's degree required
• Strong passion for relationship-building and collaborative teamwork
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong multitasking capabilities
• Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain positivity under pressure
• Willingness to work long hours and weekends during peak seasons
• Experience in travel, logistics, GDS Sabre, hospitality, or tournaments is a plus
• Familiarity with Salesforce or other major CRM platforms is a plus
• Hotel brand-specific knowledge preferred

Work Authorization: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. No visa sponsorships are available for this position.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with on-call availability as necessary. This position is fully remote.
