Billing & Reconciliation Analyst

About This Role

We are representing a confidential telecommunications organization seeking a Billing & Reconciliation Analyst for a part-time remote position based in the Philippines. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who excels at investigating financial discrepancies and managing reconciliation workflows.

Our client needs someone who can manage commission reporting, billing reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution with precision and persistence. You'll work Monday through Friday, 30 hours per week on EST schedule.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly commission reports from carriers and vendor partners, comparing against internal CRM records, customer orders, invoices, and expected commission amounts
• Identify accounts, services, or orders where commissions are missing, incorrect, or have unexpectedly stopped
• Investigate discrepancies flagged by internal reconciliation systems and determine appropriate resolution steps
• Prepare and submit commission inquiries to major telecommunications carriers and follow up consistently until fully resolved
• Communicate professionally with U.S.-based carrier representatives via email and phone
• Maintain detailed trackers showing open discrepancies, amounts potentially owed, carrier responses, follow-up dates, and resolution status
• Prepare accurate monthly commission statements for sales representatives and subagents according to established commission agreements
• Review customer billing issues when carrier invoices contain incorrect charges, researching discrepancies using carrier reports and internal documentation
• Submit billing disputes when appropriate and follow through to completion
• Help maintain visibility into expected versus actual payments received
• Identify recurring problems, trends, and process gaps; recommend improvements to make reconciliation more efficient

What We're Looking For

Required Experience and Skills:

• Background in accounting, reconciliation, billing, accounts receivable, financial operations, commission accounting, or similar analytical role
• Strong understanding of basic accounting and reconciliation concepts
• Comfortable comparing information across multiple reports and systems
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills with ability to organize, review, and analyze large datasets accurately
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies
• Highly organized with strong follow-up habits and ability to manage multiple open issues simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills with clear, professional spoken English
• Comfortable communicating directly with U.S.-based representatives through email and phone
• Able to clearly explain billing or commission discrepancies
• Persistent when following up on unresolved issues
• Able to work independently while adhering to established procedures

Nice to Have:

• Experience with telecom or carrier commission reconciliation
• Familiarity with major telecommunications carrier commission reports
• Revenue assurance background
• Experience with Salesforce, QuickBooks, or CRM-based reconciliation
• Knowledge of carrier or vendor portals
• Billing dispute management experience
