Spanish Instructor, PT Adjunct Faculty or Freelance – Paris

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential international education institution seeking a Spanish Instructor for part-time adjunct or freelance engagement at their Paris campus. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator to deliver Elementary Spanish I instruction in a dynamic academic environment.

Location: Paris, France
Schedule: Mondays, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Duration: Four months (beginning late September)
Employment Type: Part-time Adjunct Faculty or Freelance

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Deliver assigned Elementary Spanish courses while maintaining student engagement and academic standards
• Contribute to curriculum development and innovation of course content
• Serve as a subject matter expert, ensuring course rigor and currency
• Respond to student inquiries promptly using institutional communication channels
• Evaluate student submissions and provide timely, substantive feedback through the learning management system
• Apply appropriate rubrics to assign grades and explain assessment criteria clearly
• Facilitate discussion board activities and online student interaction
• Identify at-risk students and provide appropriate academic support
• Participate in scheduled meetings, training sessions, and faculty development opportunities
• Complete administrative documentation as required by accrediting bodies
• Integrate digital learning resources effectively into teaching strategies
• Comply with institutional policies and professional development requirements

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Spanish, Education, or a closely related field
• Native or near-native Spanish language proficiency
• 3–5 years of university-level teaching experience preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and internet-based tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of online teaching experience or hybrid/hyflex course delivery
• Practical experience with Blackboard LMS or comparable e-learning platforms (Collaborate Ultra experience is a plus)
• English language proficiency
• Demonstrated ability to provide constructive, value-added student feedback
• Experience supporting diverse learners and identifying at-risk students
