Solution Architecture Manager

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential open-source technology organization seeking a Solution Architecture Manager to lead a global field engineering team. This is a remote role where you'll guide solution architects who design and deploy cloud infrastructure for enterprise clients across industries including telecommunications, finance, healthcare, and media.

You'll manage engineers who work hands-on with technologies spanning public cloud platforms, private cloud solutions, container orchestration, data platforms, and MLops implementations. This role combines people leadership with active participation in technical presales and solution delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a geographically distributed team of field engineers, from graduate to senior level
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and career development guidance to team members
• Participate actively in technical presales conversations and solution design with customers
• Represent your team and solutions to stakeholders, partners, and enterprise clients
• Implement engineering processes and measure team health indicators
• Collaborate with leadership across departments to achieve quarterly objectives
• Plan and manage progress on agreed goals and project deliverables
• Contribute to solution architecture and troubleshooting alongside your team
• Travel up to 25% for internal events, industry conferences, and customer engagements

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Deep knowledge of cloud computing technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenStack, AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar platforms
• Practical experience with Linux systems and networking fundamentals
• Proven experience in technical presales or solution architecture roles
• Track record of developing and growing engineering talent
• Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring technical teams
• Strong organizational skills with ability to ensure timely, high-quality team delivery
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Exceptional academic track record from high school and preferably university
• Dynamic personality with enthusiasm for new projects and client interaction

Preferred:

• Second language capability (Spanish or French highly valued)
• Python programming knowledge
• Experience collaborating with external partners and multiple internal teams
• Background providing stakeholder feedback for engineering roadmaps

Pay

Compensation details will be discussed during the screening process and are based on experience, location, and performance. Our client offers a performance-driven annual bonus, personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year, 40 days annual leave including public holidays, distributed work environment with twice-yearly in-person team events, and comprehensive benefits.
