About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential technology consulting organization that delivers business intelligence and analytics solutions to enterprise clients. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Power BI Analyst to lead the design and development of advanced BI solutions using Microsoft Power BI, AI technologies, and modern data visualization techniques. This is a remote position based in the United States.
In this role, you will serve as a technical expert driving data-driven decision-making across client engagements. You'll leverage emerging AI capabilities to uncover insights, mentor team members, and establish best practices for enterprise analytics solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, and implementation of complex Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and data visualizations
- Develop advanced data transformation and analytical solutions using Power Query, DAX, and related Microsoft technologies
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable business insights
- Apply AI technologies and advanced analytical techniques to enhance business intelligence capabilities
- Serve as technical subject matter expert for Power BI, data analysis, and business intelligence across multiple project assignments
- Evaluate BI solution performance and recommend improvements for scalability, efficiency, and business value
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and leadership to translate objectives into effective analytical solutions
- Establish and promote standards for Power BI development, data visualization, and BI best practices
- Evaluate emerging BI, analytics, and AI technologies for incorporation into client solutions
- Provide technical leadership during solution design, implementation, testing, and deployment
- Mentor analysts and team members on Power BI and business intelligence technologies
- Communicate complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 8+ years of professional experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or data visualization
- At least 3 years working with AI technologies in analytics or business intelligence solutions
- Advanced hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI
- Strong experience with Power Query, DAX, data modeling, and Power BI semantic models
- Proven track record designing and implementing complex BI solutions from requirements through deployment
- Advanced ability to analyze large datasets and identify meaningful patterns and trends
- Experience translating analytical findings into clear, actionable business recommendations
- Strong understanding of BI principles, data visualization practices, and analytical methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting federal government customers or government contracting environments
- Microsoft Power BI or related Microsoft certifications
- Experience establishing Power BI governance, development standards, and enterprise BI practices
- Background in advanced statistical analysis, predictive analytics, or machine learning
- Experience leading BI strategy, modernization, or enterprise analytics initiatives
