Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential consulting services organization in Oberkochen seeking a Software Developer (m/w/d) for Simulation projects. In this role, you will:
- Develop and extend C++ modules within Unreal Engine and adjacent simulation software
- Implement and integrate interface emulators and tools to support simulation solutions
- Conduct performance analysis, profiling, and optimization of existing software components
- Participate in automating build processes, testing, and CI/CD pipelines on Windows and Linux platforms
- Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to advance innovative simulation solutions
- Document developed software and support adherence to development processes
- Assist with containerization and deployment of software components in virtualized environments
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or comparable qualification
- German and English language skills at a business-fluent level minimum
- Professional experience developing Blueprints and working with Unreal Engine, ideally including multiplayer programming
- Experience with ffmpeg or comparable multimedia frameworks is advantageous
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Strong programming skills (minimum C++17, multithreaded applications)
- Knowledge of performance optimization, profiling, and debugging within Unreal Engine
- Proficiency with build systems, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and containerization tools such as Docker under Windows and Linux
