Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential streaming technology client in Cambridge, and we're seeking a Software Engineer with strong UI capabilities to join their device platform team. In this role, you will:
- Build scalable UI features optimized for millions of users across embedded devices
- Contribute to technical investigations and solutions for middleware and UI-layer challenges
- Explore integrating AI/ML capabilities and leverage generative AI tools to accelerate development workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on global platform features that impact core user experiences
- Develop engineering tools and infrastructure to support high-performance graphics rendering
- Stay current with AI trends and emerging technologies in the streaming and embedded systems space
What We're Looking For
Our client needs an engineer with hands-on experience in UI development for embedded environments. The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated UI development exposure
- Proficiency in C++ within embedded environments
- Strong scripting skills (JavaScript-like languages) plus experience with Python
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical communication skills
- Interest in AI applications and willingness to learn generative AI tools such as coding agents, cursor-based tools, or agent frameworks
- Proactive mindset with passion for continuous learning and fast iteration
Bonus consideration for candidates who have built fluency with agentic engineering tools, custom automation, or can demonstrate projects where AI-assisted development accelerated delivery.
