Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential quantitative trading organization seeking a Software Engineer to join their Global Data Engineering team in London. In this role, you will:
- Establish technical vision and direction for major initiatives across the reference data platform
- Expand and harden existing reference data products, improving coverage across asset classes and datasets while raising data quality and operational robustness
- Design, develop, support, and maintain critical components of data infrastructure relied upon daily by traders and researchers
- Ensure new and existing programs adhere to coding, architectural, and operational standards
- Develop deep understanding of trading, exchanges, and diverse data domains
- Collaborate closely with traders, engineers, and researchers to identify gaps, prioritize improvements, and deliver high-quality datasets
What We're Looking For
- Strong engineering instincts and deep understanding of computer science fundamentals
- Proven experience writing software in C++, C, C#, and/or Python
- Innovative, big-picture thinking grounded in real-world pragmatism
- Desire to continuously improve in a rapidly evolving environment
- Readiness to set technical direction, promote engineering principles, and make sound technical decisions
