Software Engineer – Performance Marketing

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential mobile gaming publisher seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Performance Marketing and playable ad development. Our client is a major player in the mobile entertainment space, and we're looking for a Unity expert to join their growth-focused creative team in Paris.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering and creative marketing—you'll transform existing games into interactive ad experiences that drive user acquisition across global markets.

Responsibilities

• Convert existing mobile games into engaging playable ads using Unity and other interactive ad platforms
• Optimize playable ads for performance, user experience, scalability, and file-size constraints
• Integrate analytics solutions to measure user interactions and extract actionable insights
• Build reusable playable templates that can be customized by graphic designers and creative teams
• Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives including testing new tools and implementing creative processes
• Analyze performance data to understand what drives conversions and iterate accordingly
• Stay current on competitor creative strategies and experiment with emerging formats and technologies
• Work within a small, collaborative squad across hypercasual, casual, and consumer app products

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in Unity development, ideally with playable ad creation or size-optimized web game development
• Proficiency in playable ad platforms such as Luna, Cocos Creator, or similar tools
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and web-based game development
• Deep familiarity with the mobile gaming market, particularly hypercasual and casual genres
• Creative mindset with knowledge of game design principles and user psychology
• Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical challenges independently
• Fluent English, both written and spoken
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and asset generation platforms is highly valued
• Familiarity with third-party SDKs, analytics platforms, and A/B testing in mobile games is a plus
