Software Engineer II with Accounting Experience (Chile)

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Software Engineer II with accounting experience to join their team in Chile. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and maintain software solutions for financial processes
• Participate fully in the software development lifecycle, developing new features as an integrated team member
• Leverage your accounting background to identify gaps and improve automation and reconciliation workflows
• Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics that support financial operations
• Provide support and consulting on software systems usage
• Ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards
• Write clean, well-documented code that meets coding standards and technical design requirements

What We're Looking For

Required Background:

• Prior experience as an accountant or financial analyst
• Solid understanding of financial operations including reconciliation, reporting, and compliance
• 3-7 years of combined experience in accounting and software engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in at least one programming language (Python, Java, or Go preferred)
• Experience with backend API development
• Experience with relational database systems such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with software engineering tools, development methodology, and release processes
• Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools; must be comfortable leveraging AI to enhance productivity, research, and communication

Preferred Technical Stack Familiarity:

• Backend: Golang
• Frontend: React, React Native, TypeScript
• Database: MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Kubernetes
• CI/CD and automated testing practices
