Software Engineer – IAM (OIDC/OAuth)

About the Role

You'll own the design, implementation, and maintenance of IAM infrastructure that protects our platform and users. This role sits at the intersection of security, scalability, and developer experience—you'll write production-grade code that handles sensitive authentication workflows while keeping implementation patterns simple and maintainable for the broader engineering team.

Core Duties

• Design and develop OIDC and OAuth 2.0 compliant authentication systems, including provider and relying party implementations
• Build secure token management systems, refresh mechanisms, and credential lifecycle workflows
• Integrate third-party identity providers and manage federated authentication flows
• Write well-tested, documented code that follows security best practices and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with frontend and backend teams to ensure seamless authentication user experience
• Debug and resolve authentication and authorization issues in production environments
• Stay current with IAM standards, emerging threats, and industry-standard security patterns

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience building or maintaining OIDC, OAuth 2.0, or similar authentication/authorization systems
• Strong foundation in cryptography concepts, security protocols, and common IAM vulnerabilities
• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (Go, Python, Node.js, Java, or similar)
• Familiarity with identity platforms, SSO solutions, or related IAM tooling
• Ability to write clear, secure, and performant code with a focus on maintainability
• Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across distributed teams
