Power Factors is hiring a Senior Engineer, Linux System/DevOps to lead infrastructure initiatives and DevOps transformation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Athens, Attica, Greece, ideal for an experienced systems professional ready to architect scalable Linux environments and drive operational excellence.
The Opportunity
Join our engineering team and take ownership of system architecture, automation, and reliability. You'll design and implement production infrastructure, lead infrastructure-as-code initiatives, and mentor colleagues in DevOps best practices. This role offers the chance to shape how we scale technology across the organisation, from deployment pipelines through to monitoring and performance optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Linux-based infrastructure supporting production workloads
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation frameworks
- Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions using modern tooling and orchestration platforms
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability systems to ensure reliability and performance
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with development teams to optimise deployment processes and operational workflows
- Establish security hardening practices and maintain compliance across infrastructure layers
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of hands-on Linux system administration and infrastructure engineering experience
- Proficiency in automation scripting (Bash, Python, Go, or equivalent languages)
- Strong experience with container platforms and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Demonstrated expertise in CI/CD tools and deployment automation frameworks
- Solid understanding of networking, storage, and system performance tuning
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar)
- Proven ability to design scalable, resilient infrastructure solutions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
