About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Software Engineer with strong Golang, TypeScript, and React expertise. This is a remote position based in Mexico, working Monday through Friday, 9-5 EST/EDT, with potential on-call support requirements.
Our client operates a platform used by major corporations, central banks, and international organizations to analyze cross-border payment data and make strategic business decisions. You'll join a technical team of approximately 30 engineers, working in small collaborative squads alongside product managers and cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain and enhance Golang microservices and frontend applications
- Build performant, accessible user interfaces using React and TypeScript, adhering to established design system standards
- Improve performance and observability of distributed services and applications
- Enhance team efficiency through automation, process improvements, and adoption of new technologies
- Write and optimize SQL queries for large-scale data operations
- Participate in code reviews and help establish team quality standards
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand domain requirements and deliver meaningful features
What We're Looking For
Required Skills:
- Proven experience writing Golang services and web application backends
- Strong proficiency building componentized React/TypeScript frontends
- Experience deploying applications in Docker containers
- Solid understanding of SQL and writing performant queries
- Deep knowledge of clean code principles and language idioms for TypeScript and Go
- Ability to quickly learn new business domains and engage with complex product requirements
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to peers
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and skill development
Preferred Skills (not essential):
- Experience with concurrent programming patterns (goroutines)
- Building CI/CD pipelines, particularly with GitLab CI
- Configuring observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
- MaterialUI framework experience
- Familiarity with Airflow, Python, or Terraform
- Experience using AI tools to increase productivity
