(Senior) Supply Chain Consultant (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential supply chain software organization seeking a Supply Chain Consultant to lead customer implementations in London. In this heavily customer-facing role, you will shape how clients optimize their planning operations through both business process design and system configuration.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Facilitating workshops to gather and document business requirements, analyzing customer data to identify strengths and gaps in current planning processes
• Designing target-state planning processes, defining roles and KPIs while guiding customers toward industry best practices
• Configuring business rules, workflows and reporting that deliver scalable, maintainable solutions beyond basic functional requirements
• Building tangible value cases for customer leadership, defining how forecast accuracy, availability, inventory and cost improvements will be measured
• Coordinating User Acceptance Testing, resolving issues, and training super users to ensure customer proficiency post-implementation
• Driving adoption and change management—technical correctness alone does not define project success
• Documenting requirements, scope and configuration for handover to ongoing support teams
• Collaborating across disciplines with technical consultants on data models and integrations, and with project managers on scope and timelines

Within the broader organization, you will challenge implementation best practices across industries including grocery, DIY, pharma and wholesale, share knowledge through training, support less experienced colleagues, and actively use AI tooling in your daily work.

What We're Looking For

For mid-level candidates:

• Around 2+ years of relevant experience in supply chain or retail planning, demand and inventory planning, or implementing/consulting on planning software
• A degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, mathematics or computer science provides a good foundation, though practical experience matters most
• Structured thinking and comfort working with ambiguous requirements—you analyze data and arrive at defensible recommendations
• Strong communication skills across audiences, from training room super users to senior stakeholders in steering committees
• Business-fluent German and English (both used daily)
• Willingness to travel depending on project phase
• Technical affinity with SQL, scripting, or eagerness to develop these skills

For senior-level candidates, we additionally require:

• Several years of consulting or implementation experience with demonstrable ownership of a workstream or smaller project end-to-end—managing scope, risk, timeline and completion
• Reliable effort estimation for standard and custom requirements, supporting scoping and statement-of-work discussions
• Experience coaching and mentoring junior colleagues
• Confidence presenting to senior customer stakeholders and steering committees
• Hands-on experience with a supply chain planning system as either a user or implementer
• Track record defining and tracking KPIs or building business value cases
