What This Role Involves

In this senior engineering position, you'll lead technical initiatives focused on rubber processing operations and equipment performance across Continental's manufacturing operations. This role combines hands-on engineering expertise with strategic responsibility, positioning you to influence manufacturing standards, process efficiency, and equipment reliability. Working collaboratively with production teams and cross-functional specialists, you'll develop solutions that strengthen Continental's competitive advantage in advanced manufacturing technology.

Core Duties

• Design, develop, and optimise rubber processing equipment systems to enhance performance and reliability
• Conduct technical analysis of manufacturing processes and recommend improvements to operational efficiency
• Collaborate with production teams to implement engineering solutions, troubleshoot equipment challenges, and validate new approaches
• Prepare technical documentation, engineering specifications, and standard operating procedures
• Ensure manufacturing processes meet quality standards, safety requirements, and relevant regulatory compliance
• Analyse equipment performance data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation
• Support staff training and facilitate knowledge transfer across manufacturing teams

What You Bring

• Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
• Substantial professional experience in manufacturing engineering with demonstrated expertise in rubber processing or polymer manufacturing
• Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment design principles, and process optimisation techniques
• Familiarity with industry standards, ISO certifications, health and safety regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Proficiency with technical documentation practices and engineering software tools
• Ability to lead projects independently and across functional teams
• Excellent written and spoken English; additional European languages valued
