Continental is hiring a SIOP Operations Demand, Capacity & Inventory Planning Specialist to join our Supply Chain team in a remote, full-time role based in Szeged, Hungary. You'll lead integrated planning activities that align customer demand with production capacity and inventory optimisation across our operations.

Position Summary

This SIOP Operations specialist role focuses on bridging demand forecasting, capacity utilisation, and inventory management to support Continental's supply chain excellence. Working remotely from Szeged, you'll develop and execute planning strategies that balance customer service levels with operational efficiency, whilst contributing to cross-functional sales and operations planning processes that drive sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse demand signals and develop rolling forecasts to guide inventory positioning and procurement planning
  • Assess production capacity constraints and recommend resource allocation strategies to meet customer requirements
  • Monitor inventory levels across supply chain networks, identifying optimisation opportunities and addressing excess or shortage risks
  • Participate in monthly SIOP cycles, presenting insights to stakeholders and supporting consensus-building around demand and supply scenarios
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, procurement, and logistics teams to align planning assumptions and resolve supply–demand mismatches
  • Develop key performance indicators and reporting dashboards that track planning accuracy, inventory turnover, and service levels
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to strengthen forecast accuracy and reduce planning cycle times

Who We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in demand planning, supply chain planning, operations, or related analytical roles
  • Strong competency in demand forecasting methods, capacity planning, and inventory management principles
  • Proficiency with supply chain planning tools, ERP systems, and data analytics software
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets
  • Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication abilities
  • Fluency in English; German or Hungarian language skills are valued
  • Familiarity with automotive or complex manufacturing supply chains is advantageous
