About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential payments technology organization seeking a Senior Solution Consultant based in the United Kingdom. Our client is a global leader powering merchant payment ecosystems, and this role sits within their merchant solutions team serving enterprise clients across EMEA.

As a Senior Solution Consultant, you will lead strategic, outcome-driven engagements with large enterprise merchants, shifting conversations from product features to end-to-end business solutions. You'll act as a trusted advisor during pre-sales cycles, aligning customer business objectives with sophisticated payment and fraud prevention strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead consultative engagements with enterprise merchants to define business outcomes and solution strategies
• Influence and drive executive-level customer conversations during pre-sales to demonstrate value and differentiation
• Own business case development: lead value discovery workshops, build ROI/TCO models, and define measurable success criteria
• Design and orchestrate Proof-of-Value engagements with clear entry/exit criteria and success metrics
• Apply structured qualification methodology (e.g., MEDDICC) to improve pipeline discipline and win rate
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including technical consultants, sales, product, and marketing to deliver integrated solutions
• Author industry points of view and maintain competitive intelligence to inform discovery and demonstrations
• Create reusable value assets and enable sales teams to apply them consistently
• Provide market insights and thought leadership to customers and internal stakeholders
• Partner with customer success teams to track value realization post-sale on strategic accounts

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of experience in a consultancy firm or similar role within the payments industry
• Deep knowledge of online payments and fraud prevention strategies, with industry best practices expertise
• Strong understanding of EU market dynamics and merchant requirements
• Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders and delivering outcome-based solutions
• Experience in ROI/TCO modeling and executive-level storytelling
• Practical AI/analytics fluency to enhance discovery and value storytelling
• Strong business consulting skills with technical understanding of payment solutions
• Excellent listening skills combined with the ability to guide customers confidently
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Ability to quickly grasp concepts and solve complex problems
• Must be currently authorized to work in the UK, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Romania, Italy, or Austria on a full-time basis (no visa sponsorship available)
