Responsibilities
We are representing a B2B software publisher specializing in financial management solutions, currently undergoing significant technical modernization. As a confirmed C# developer, you will:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using C# and modern.NET frameworks
- Actively participate in the technical refactoring of legacy systems, including migration from.NET Framework 3.5/4.8 to.NET 8
- Contribute to reducing technical debt by proposing and implementing architectural improvements
- Collaborate within an agile environment, participating in sprints, daily stand-ups, and weekly meetings as part of a small, cohesive team (Lead Tech, three developers, and a Product Owner)
- Ensure code quality through unit testing and adherence to development best practices
- Work with CI/CD pipelines and version control using Git, including pull requests and code reviews
What We're Looking For
Our client seeks a developer with at least 3-4 years of professional experience who brings both technical expertise and a proactive mindset:
- Minimum 4 years of C# development experience
- Strong proficiency with.NET Framework 3.5/4.8 and.NET 8
- Expertise in either ASP.NET (Razor and jQuery) or React
- Solid SQL knowledge with hands-on experience in at least one of: SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle
- Practical experience with Git workflow, including pull requests and code reviews
- Demonstrated experience writing unit tests
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and CI/CD practices
- Fluent in French and English
- Located within one hour of Nantes, France
- Initiative-driven approach—comfortable proposing solutions, testing ideas, and iterating rather than waiting for detailed instructions
- Adaptability to learn new technologies quickly and understand business requirements
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to team objectives
