Product Owner – Automotive Intelligence

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential maritime intelligence organization based in Greece. They are building a new automotive intelligence vertical and need an experienced Product Owner to shape how data transforms into actionable insights for clients in the automotive shipping sector.

You will own the product roadmap and backlog for this automotive intelligence workspace, coordinating delivery across engineering, data, and market intelligence teams. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, customer needs, and technical execution, with responsibility for translating sector requirements into a prioritized delivery plan targeting a Q4 2026 launch.

Responsibilities

• Own the automotive intelligence product roadmap and backlog, translating sector strategy and validated customer needs into well-defined epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria across seven intelligence modules including trade flows, fleet supply, charter rates, ports and terminals, fuel and emissions, and bunkering
• Prioritize product initiatives by balancing customer value, commercial impact, technical effort, data readiness, and delivery constraints to focus the team on highest-impact opportunities
• Partner closely with sector leads, data engineers, and analysts to translate market intelligence, customer discovery, and business requirements into scalable product capabilities
• Coordinate delivery across engineering and data teams, accounting for technical dependencies across AIS, ownership, emissions, and other underlying data sources
• Define and shape the automotive workspace experience, ensuring natural platform integration and delivery of actionable insights rather than raw data presentation
• Own the product delivery cadence including sprint planning, backlog refinement, release coordination, and stakeholder communication to maintain launch timeline and roadmap momentum
• Conduct customer discovery and continuously incorporate customer and market feedback into product requirements, prioritization, and roadmap decisions
• Define and track product success metrics measuring adoption, engagement, customer outcomes, and commercial performance against ARR and logo targets
• Maintain a healthy and predictable backlog with clear requirements, effective refinement, delivery visibility, and strong cross-functional collaboration
• Uphold strong product and engineering standards for quality, documentation, and ways of working as the squad scales

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 3+ years of Product Owner or Product Management experience, ideally delivering B2B data, analytics, or SaaS products within cross-functional Agile environments
• Strong track record translating strategy and customer needs into prioritized roadmaps, well-defined backlogs, and clear product requirements with a focus on meeting deadlines
• Experience working with data-heavy products and technical teams, with ability to understand data sources, pipelines, technical dependencies, and their implications for product development
• Strong customer discovery experience, translating customer insights and market feedback into actionable product requirements and roadmap decisions
• Strong stakeholder management skills, working effectively across Product, Engineering, Data, and customer-facing teams
• Strong understanding of Agile product ownership including backlog management, user story writing, acceptance criteria, sprint planning, release coordination, and roadmap planning
• Strong data and analytical literacy, with ability to interpret data, define meaningful product metrics, and measure outcomes and product adoption
• Familiarity with product and delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, roadmap management, and product analytics platforms
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, communicating clearly across different disciplines and seniority levels
• Decisive and structured approach to prioritization, with confidence to make trade-offs, say no when required, and clearly communicate rationale behind product decisions
• Ownership mindset, comfortable operating with ambiguity and working at pace in a new and evolving product area

Nice to Have:

• Experience or knowledge of maritime, shipping, logistics, automotive, commodities, or trade intelligence
• Familiarity with AIS, vessel tracking, freight/charter markets, emissions, or port and terminal operations
• Experience launching new products or modules within an existing platform
