About this opportunity
We are representing a UK-based business that needs a skilled Complaints Handler to work remotely from South Africa. In this role, you will manage the most difficult customer interactions, investigating issues thoroughly and delivering resolution through clear, professional communication. This is a stable, long-term position working UK hours from home.
Responsibilities
- Log and acknowledge incoming complaints within agreed service levels
- Investigate cases by gathering documentation and coordinating with internal teams
- Draft clear, professional written responses and resolution proposals
- Escalate cases that meet defined severity or complexity thresholds
- Track complaint patterns and report on recurring issues to support process improvement
- Maintain accurate case records throughout the resolution lifecycle
What we're looking for
Required:
- Proven experience handling complaints, escalations or customer disputes
- Excellent written English with the ability to draft customer-facing correspondence
- Calm, measured approach when dealing with frustrated or upset customers
- Hands-on experience with case management or CRM platforms
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet service-level deadlines
- Availability to work 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST), Monday to Friday
Preferred:
- Familiarity with UK complaints procedures or FCA-regulated environments
- Experience using Zendesk, Freshdesk or similar ticketing systems
- Background producing root-cause analysis or trend reporting

Pay
