Nvidia is looking for a Senior Software Program Manager to lead software strategy and execution for our datacenter compute server platforms in Santa Clara, California. In this full-time role, you'll shape the roadmap and delivery of mission-critical software that powers next-generation data center infrastructure.
About This Position
As Senior Software Program Manager for Datacenter Compute Server at Nvidia, you'll own the end-to-end software program lifecycle—from requirements definition through release and customer deployment. You'll work at the intersection of hardware architecture, system software, and product strategy, ensuring our server software delivers industry-leading performance, reliability, and customer value. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep technical insight and exceptional cross-functional coordination across engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and communicate software roadmaps, technical requirements, and success criteria for datacenter compute server releases
- Coordinate software development across architecture, drivers, firmware, and system software teams to meet aggressive timeline and quality targets
- Partner with hardware design, product management, and customer engineering to align software capabilities with market needs and technical constraints
- Track program health, identify risks, remove blockers, and drive resolution of dependencies and integration challenges
- Establish testing strategies, release criteria, and quality metrics to ensure reliable, high-performance software delivery
- Engage with key customers and field teams to gather feedback and validate software strategies
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering, program management, or product management experience, with at least 5 years managing software-heavy infrastructure or platform products
- Proven track record launching complex software systems at scale, ideally in cloud, HPC, or datacenter environments
- Strong technical foundation in systems software, Linux, drivers, or GPU computing; ability to engage deeply with hardware and architecture teams
- Excellent communication and leadership skills; demonstrated ability to influence and align cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Experience with software release management, testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and quality methodologies
- Familiarity with datacenter or AI infrastructure software stacks is a plus
