About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Mainz. This role offers genuine technical ownership—you'll drive architectural decisions, modernize legacy systems, and shape the technical direction of production applications used daily in the healthcare sector.
Our client is actively evolving their platform architecture, moving from monolithic structures toward modular, domain-driven design while maintaining system stability. You'll work with modern tooling including AI-assisted development practices, contributing not just code but strategic technical judgment throughout the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance web applications using C#, ASP.NET Core, and ReactJS
- Lead technical design and implementation of features from concept through production release
- Drive architectural modernization efforts, establishing clearer domain boundaries and reducing system dependencies
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to automate release processes
- Take end-to-end ownership of releases within established change management frameworks
- Implement and maintain automated testing strategies and conduct thorough code reviews
- Shape AI-assisted development practices across the team while ensuring sound technical judgment
- Provide technical mentorship to team members
What We're Looking For
- Degree or vocational qualification in Computer Science, Software Development, or comparable field
- Several years of professional experience with C#,.NET Core, and Entity Framework
- Proven experience taking end-to-end ownership of services or domains through full development lifecycle
- Strong hands-on skills with REST APIs, MS SQL, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Solid understanding of CI/CD processes, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Azure hosting
- Knowledge of healthcare communication standards such as FHIR or HL7
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and ability to critically evaluate their output
- Fluent English skills (B2+ level) required
- German language skills are beneficial but not required
