We are representing a fast-growing technology company in Paris that is revolutionizing how people consume digital information through audio. Our client is a leader in their category, experiencing significant growth and building foundational systems that power experiences across multiple platforms.

We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Core Experiences Team. This is a critical role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of product and infrastructure, thinks strategically, and is passionate about designing clear, reliable APIs and systems that directly enhance user experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams to scope projects, reduce complexity for faster customer feedback, and navigate integration and UX tradeoffs across platforms
• Deliver solutions via cross-platform SDKs that serve as foundational services for the entire product ecosystem
• Optimize existing functionality to improve performance, including faster loading times and more intelligent parsing through efficient abstractions and improved algorithms
• Build and maintain cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin
• Design and implement systems that balance simplicity with scalability in a high-growth environment

• Systems thinking: You understand that optimizing a system requires end-to-end design, and you value simplicity
• Speed and decisiveness: You work quickly to generate ideas and options, and know how to decide what ships now versus what needs more time
• Focus: You know how and when to engage with the team or work heads down in a busy, remote startup environment
• Collaboration skills: You can inspire, negotiate, and work effectively with opinionated designers, marketers, and product managers
• Technical expertise: Strong experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable but the role uses Kotlin Multiplatform); prior experience with GCP is a plus
• Senior-level experience building SDKs, platform infrastructure, or core services that support multiple product teams
