Senior Java Fullstack Developer mit technischem Fokus (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential public-sector organization in Germany seeking a Senior Java Fullstack Developer with a strong technical focus. In this role, you will support a large-scale project within central tax administration IT infrastructure, working on systems that orchestrate cross-functional business processes between multiple specialized applications.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing high-performance backend components using Java (17/21) and Spring Boot
• Designing and implementing cross-system processes and integrating them into existing system landscapes
• Contributing to the development of data processing and transformation components within large, distributed systems
• Coordinating with technical stakeholders and project teams, primarily remote with occasional on-site meetings (approximately once monthly in Kaarst)
• Architecting technical solutions for application monitoring and control, including backend services supporting UI components
• Conducting developer testing and ensuring software quality standards
• Maintaining, supporting, and continuously optimizing existing software components
• Creating technical documentation including operational and interface documentation

What We're Looking For

Our client requires a senior-level developer with deep expertise in enterprise Java development:

• Minimum 10 years of practical Java development experience with solid knowledge of modern software architectures
• Expert-level proficiency in Spring/Spring Boot and experience building scalable backend systems
• Extensive experience designing microservices, distributed systems, and high-availability architectures
• Proven track record developing frameworks or libraries in the Java ecosystem
• Hands-on experience with Camunda (BPMN) and modeling complex business processes
• Strong expertise with messaging technologies such as Kafka/AMQ
• Solid knowledge of databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks (Hibernate/JPA)
• Experience with REST and SOAP interfaces, XML/JSON processing, and common web service standards
• Comfortable working with Linux systems and basic shell scripting
• Structured, analytical working style with high quality standards in software development
• Experience in the public sector or complex enterprise environments is advantageous
• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken (C1 level required)
