About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential public sector IT services organization in Germany seeking a Kubernetes Administrator/Private Cloud Engineer. Our client is at the forefront of digital transformation, building critical infrastructure that serves millions of users. This is a fully remote position based in Germany.
As part of our client's platform engineering team, you will ensure container infrastructure runs smoothly and remains future-ready. Your focus will be creating a highly available, scalable, and secure platform where applications can be reliably operated and continuously improved. Working collaboratively, you'll drive automation and optimization of private cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Advise on, design, and implement private cloud platform solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provision necessary infrastructure
- Measure, analyze, and optimize platform performance and stability
- Build and operate distributed systems applying DevOps methodologies
- Advance Continuous Integration and Deployment processes for efficient solution delivery
- Perform troubleshooting and resolution of issues in containerized environments
- Configure, operate, and troubleshoot proxy systems
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in cloud/platform operations
- Proven experience in agile development and operation of distributed systems
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes and Ansible (essential)
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and resolving issues in container environments
- Experience with proxy configuration, operation, and fault resolution
- Deep understanding of DevOps practices
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines is highly valued
- OpenShift and JavaEE experience is a plus
- Excellent German language skills (C1 level) required
- Conversational English proficiency
