About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential deep-tech AI hardware organization operating across France, North America, and Israel. We are seeking a Senior Signal Processing Engineer based in their Paris offices to work at the critical intersection of physical hardware and digital systems.
In this role, you will translate complex hardware behaviors into mathematical models, collaborating closely with optics, analog, and digital engineering teams to co-optimize next-generation compute architectures. This position is ideal for engineers with deep expertise in C/C++ who have worked in telecom, high-speed sensing, optimal control, or similar signal-intensive domains.
Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional hardware teams to understand how low-level design decisions propagate through the system and impact final performance characteristics
- Design and implement proprietary simulation tools for accurate hardware modeling and optimization
- Analyze physical noise sources and signal distortion, developing mathematical frameworks to quantify and mitigate their effects on system performance
- Create predictive models for physical interactions within the architecture to guide design decisions across analog and digital domains
- Lead mathematical validation efforts, ensuring every architectural choice is supported by rigorous numerical analysis
- Build bridges between hardware reality and digital processing through first-principles problem solving
What We're Looking For
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in relevant industries including telecom, high-speed sensors, optimal control, signal processing, or closely related fields
- Programming: Extensive hands-on experience with C/C++ as your primary tool, plus proficiency in Python
- Education: Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with demonstrated expertise in numerical analysis, optimization, and mathematical modeling
- Systems thinking: Proven ability to identify and model dominant sources of variability, noise, and distortion using both analytical methods and numerical simulation
- Problem-solving approach: Strong curiosity and first-principles thinking when tackling non-standard hardware-software co-design challenges
- Language: Professional proficiency in English required; French is a plus
- Location: Must be able to work from Paris offices
