Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential automotive technology client in Munich for a senior-level Salesforce developer role. In this position, you will build and customise Service Cloud and Sales Cloud solutions that support dealer and buyer processes across a high-volume B2B platform. You will own Apex classes, Lightning Web Components and Visualforce pages within the Inventory team's technical scope.
Your work will include designing and maintaining two-way integrations between Salesforce and the core platform using REST APIs, Platform Events and event-driven flows. You will make architectural decisions on when standard configuration—such as Flows, metadata and permission sets—is sufficient versus when custom development is warranted. You will design data models and API integrations that ensure transaction data consistency between Salesforce and backend systems.
You will take ownership of underused platform features, reduce technical debt in the existing codebase, and secure reliability and performance through monitoring, release management and clean deployment practice. You will work in agile sprints and contribute to the architectural decisions that shape them.
What we're looking for
- 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, with Service Cloud and Sales Cloud in production environments
- Deep command of Apex, Lightning Web Components, Aura, Visualforce, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS
- Strong relational data modelling skills with SOQL and SQL
- Solid understanding of event-driven architecture and Salesforce integration patterns, including REST APIs and Platform Events
- Clear judgement on when to use standard platform configuration versus custom development
- Comfortable with release management and scrum frameworks, and able to carry technical discussions in business contexts
- English at C1 level, written and spoken
- AI-fluent working style—active use of tools like Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot in day-to-day work
Nice to have:
- Salesforce certifications, particularly Platform Developer I or II, or Service Cloud Consultant
- German at B2 level
- Experience mentoring other developers and reviewing their work
