Senior Sales Engineer, Enterprise – German Speaking

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential enterprise software client in their search for a Senior Sales Engineer with native or professional German language skills. This is a remote position based in the UK, serving EMEA enterprise customers.

In this role, you will partner with our client's enterprise sales team to understand complex business requirements and demonstrate how data pipeline solutions deliver measurable outcomes. You'll lead technical evaluations, architect proof-of-value engagements, and serve as the trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle.

Responsibilities

• Engage with enterprise customers to assess their business challenges, use cases, and data integration requirements
• Design and deliver compelling technical presentations to diverse audiences including C-level executives and technical teams
• Lead structured proof-of-value processes to secure technical wins
• Collaborate across product, engineering, and customer success teams to drive continuous improvement
• Support multiple sales representatives while maintaining exceptional customer focus and technical rigor
• Track emerging technologies and industry trends in data infrastructure and analytics
• Mentor team members through complex technical and business challenges

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Native or professional proficiency in German language
• 5+ years of experience in sales engineering, data engineering, or technical customer-facing roles
• Strong technical foundation in database replication, cloud infrastructure, and data movement technologies with hands-on implementation experience
• Working knowledge of modern data stack components: cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks), transformation tools, data catalogs, and BI platforms
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and business stakeholders
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL) and NoSQL systems
• Hands-on experience with ETL or data replication tools
• Knowledge of self-hosted software deployments and supporting infrastructure
• Cloud and on-premise networking expertise
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Bonus qualifications:

• Experience building partner or ecosystem relationships
• Security and compliance expertise
• Hands-on experience with DBT, Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and monitoring tools
