Senior Project Manager – Digital Communications (all genders)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential digital consultancy in Germany seeking a Senior Project Manager - Digital Communications. This role sits at the intersection of technology, digital communications, content, and creative strategy, with a focus on CMS-based platforms and website projects. You'll take ownership of complex digital initiatives from inception through delivery and ongoing evolution.

This position offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in Germany or from one of the client's offices, with both full-time and part-time arrangements available.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex digital implementation projects, maintaining control over scope, budget, quality, and timelines
• Manage CMS-based communications projects including websites, information platforms, and their ongoing development and operations
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams across technology, digital communications, UX, design, and content disciplines
• Work directly with clients to understand requirements and challenges, translating them into concrete project goals and solutions
• Identify growth opportunities and new needs within existing client relationships, developing projects and accounts in partnership with subject matter experts
• Contribute project expertise to proposals, RFP responses, and pitches
• Manage diverse stakeholders effectively, ensuring clarity and strong collaboration even in complex project situations

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience managing digital implementation projects, ideally involving websites, information platforms, or other CMS-based solutions
• A proactive approach to project management—you don't just administer projects, you actively shape solutions and client relationships
• Strong ability to understand client challenges, recognize potential, and develop fitting solutions with cross-functional teams
• Comfort working with both technical teams and creative/communications disciplines including UX, design, and content
• Familiarity with both agile and traditional project methodologies, with the judgment to apply the right approach for each situation
• Experience in the public sector or public-adjacent industries is ideal
• Completed university degree or comparable practical qualification
• Excellent German language skills (written and verbal) and confident stakeholder communication
• Experience with presales, business development, RFPs, or proposal development is a plus but not required
• Project management certification is beneficial but not mandatory
