Senior Product Manager Service Cockpit (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cleantech organization in Berlin that is building remote diagnostic and control capabilities for heating systems. As Senior Product Manager, you will take an internally tested prototype and evolve it into a production-grade application that enables service technicians to remotely diagnose systems, narrow down faults faster, and perform safe adjustments—reducing on-site visits and improving first-time fix rates.

This is a hands-on role where you will build the product yourself using AI coding tools. There is no dedicated development team, and none will be added. If you prefer writing tickets and handing off work, this position is not the right fit.

Responsibilities

• Evolve a read-only prototype into a stable, production-ready application through short iteration cycles, working closely with field technicians from discovery through to operations
• Define a canonical data model for the platform and integrate data from multiple manufacturer systems
• Resolve missing sensor values, unclear error codes, technical data gaps, and access issues by coordinating with analytics, platform, IT, security, and manufacturer teams
• Build secure write-access for selected settings, align roles and permissions, and automate recurring remote maintenance tasks
• Measure avoided site visits and first-time fix rates with real cases, then expand the platform with customer reporting, predictive maintenance capabilities, additional asset classes, a native app, and integration into service workflows
• Set your own priorities, make technical decisions independently, and validate whether your solutions deliver real-world improvements

What We're Looking For

• At least five years of experience in digital product management, product engineering, or data products
• Proven track record of shipping products to production, taking ownership of unfinished products, and measuring real-world impact
• Demonstrated ability to independently build functional applications using AI coding tools—you will show us what you've built and explain your technical choices during the interview
• Strong data fluency: ability to work with unfamiliar sensor data, time series, and APIs; recognize patterns; and identify missing values or access points. SQL and BI tools are part of your daily toolkit
• Experience designing professional interfaces for users working under time pressure, making decisions based on actual user tasks rather than available system fields
• Track record of obtaining data or access from manufacturers, service providers, or internal platform teams, maintaining clarity even when facing obstacles
• Very good English and German at B2 level minimum
• Domain expertise in heating systems is not required—you will build this knowledge in the first months with dedicated support
