About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential Climate Tech SaaS company in Berlin for an exciting Business Development internship starting January 2027. Our client is a venture-backed startup revolutionizing how renewable energy businesses streamline their planning and sales processes. This is a 6-month paid opportunity for someone eager to launch their career in software sales while contributing to the energy transition.

You'll be selling an innovative software solution to business owners in the heating and solar installation sectors, helping them automate and simplify their workflows. This role offers genuine ownership—you'll manage the entire sales cycle from first contact through to account activation and billing.

Responsibilities

• Proactively contact business owners and decision-makers at target companies to schedule software demonstrations
• Explain how our client's platform simplifies and automates processes for their customers
• Independently manage the complete sales cycle: initial outreach, sales presentations, activation, and account billing
• Maintain CRM system diligently, keeping all active leads updated through to close
• Take ownership of KPI achievement, create sales reports, and ensure targets are met
• Work closely with the founding team in a fast-paced startup environment

What We're Looking For

• Fluent German language skills (written and spoken) required
• Previous customer contact or startup experience is ideal but not mandatory
• Strong communication skills and motivation to acquire your own customers during the internship
• Excellent organizational abilities with a proactive approach to bringing new ideas forward
• Talent for steering conversations toward desired outcomes
• Interest in renewable energy or eagerness to learn about this sector
• Self-driven with ability to work independently and take responsibility

Pay

This is a paid internship with additional earning potential through commission structure. Specific compensation details will be discussed during the screening process.

Location & Work Arrangement

This position is based in Berlin (Invalidenstraße area, near Weinbergspark) with flexible working arrangements available. The role offers modern equipment including MacBook and monitor, plus participation in annual team retreats.
