Internship Go-to-Market Engineering, AI & Automation (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing climate-tech organization based in Berlin that is scaling its go-to-market operations across Europe. Our talent team is searching for a technically-minded intern who wants to bridge the gap between commercial teams and engineering systems.

In this role, you will work on the technical infrastructure that powers the revenue engine. You'll collaborate directly with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Operations to identify bottlenecks, build internal tools, automate workflows, and deploy AI where it creates measurable business impact.

This is an in-person internship position based in Berlin, ideal for someone who wants hands-on experience building systems that directly influence how a European SaaS company scales its commercial organization.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain internal applications and workflows that support the entire customer lifecycle from lead generation through expansion
• Identify repetitive or inefficient workflows across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success and create automations to eliminate them
• Develop automations for lead enrichment, routing, qualification, follow-ups, pipeline management, customer onboarding, and retention
• Connect GTM stack systems and ensure reliable data flow between platforms
• Implement AI-powered workflows for lead qualification, call analysis, customer interaction insights, and operational automation
• Rapidly prototype and experiment with new models and tools, turning successful experiments into production-ready internal products
• Personally implement solutions using Python, TypeScript, n8n workflows, APIs, database queries, or internal application prototypes
• Work closely with GTM leadership to identify high-leverage problems and own them from concept through measurable results
• Drive initiatives that generate more pipeline, increase conversion rates, shorten sales cycles, or improve retention

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Strong technical skills with hands-on experience in Python and/or TypeScript
• Demonstrated experience building automations and integrations using tools like n8n and working with APIs
• Comfort working with databases, APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines
• A builder's mindset – when you see a broken process, your instinct is to understand and fix it
• Interest in Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and the systems behind how SaaS companies generate revenue
• Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into technical solutions without detailed specifications
• Preference for moving fast, iterating quickly, and shipping functional first versions
• Fluency in English; German or another European language is a plus

Bonus points for:

• Experience in dynamic startup environments working on technical solutions
• Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, Aircall, Stripe, Intercom, PostHog, or similar platforms
• Previous work on internal tools, AI agents, lead-scoring systems, enrichment pipelines, or automated outbound workflows
• Background in early-stage or high-growth startups where speed and ownership mattered more than clearly defined responsibilities
