Senior Product Manager, Orchestration

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Senior Product Manager, Orchestration based in London. This is a high-impact, zero-to-one product role focused on building next-generation payment orchestration capabilities that enterprise merchants will trust with revenue-critical transactions.

You will own product strategy for a core orchestration platform—a modular control layer that connects, routes, retries, vaults, and reconciles payments across providers through a single integration. This role requires deep payments expertise and the ability to turn complex infrastructure challenges into reliable, merchant-facing products.

Responsibilities

• Set product strategy for orchestration capabilities, from merchant problem definition through to measurable commercial impact
• Work directly with enterprise merchants to understand their payment stack challenges and translate insights into a focused product roadmap
• Design reliable experiences across provider connectivity, intelligent routing, retry logic and fallbacks, token portability, reporting, and reconciliation
• Build foundational elements including consistent APIs and data models, provider abstraction, observability, auditability, and safe change management
• Lead cross-functional delivery with engineering, design, commercial, operations, risk, compliance, and finance teams
• Shape the path from pilot to enterprise adoption, including migration strategies, controlled rollout, rollback procedures, and customer co-creation
• Ensure routing decisions remain explainable, configurable, and provider-neutral to protect merchant trust
• Ship production-ready orchestration capabilities used by enterprise merchants within 12-18 months
• Build repeatable discovery and co-creation models with strategic customers
• Drive measurable improvements in approval performance, recovered transactions, latency, cost optimization, or provider resilience

What We're Looking For

Must-have qualifications:

• End-to-end understanding of payments including PSPs, acquirers, credentials, webhooks, settlement, refunds, disputes, and reconciliation
• Proven experience building or scaling API-first, platform, or infrastructure products where reliability and operational excellence are critical
• Strong data fluency with metrics such as approval performance, recovered payments, latency, provider health, cost analysis, and reconciliation accuracy
• Systems thinking ability—you can simplify complexity without hiding important technical detail
• Demonstrated ability to move fluidly from merchant discovery to product strategy, technical trade-offs, and executive-level communication
• Track record of sequencing modular products around highest-value use cases, taking ownership in ambiguity, and executing through completion

Valuable but not essential:

• Direct orchestration product experience
• Deep background in payments infrastructure, financial systems, developer platforms, or other reliability-critical B2B environments
