About the Role

As Senior Principal Engineer - IT Systems Engineering at MMC in Noida - Sector 135, you will set direction for complex IT systems, guide engineering excellence, and partner with stakeholders to keep critical infrastructure secure, scalable, and well-operated. You will combine hands-on systems depth with principal-level judgement to improve how services are designed, operated, and evolved across the organisation.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and end-to-end design work for IT systems, platforms, and related infrastructure services
• Define engineering standards, operating practices, and technical roadmaps that improve reliability, performance, and maintainability
• Review designs, guide implementation choices, and remove blockers for large or high-risk changes
• Partner with security, operations, product, and application teams to deliver resilient, well-integrated solutions
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through design discussions, code and configuration reviews, and technical coaching
• Drive incident learnings, capacity planning, observability improvements, and continuous hardening of production systems
• Evaluate new tools and approaches, document decisions, and help teams adopt proven patterns at scale
• Represent IT Systems Engineering in planning forums and communicate trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a senior or principal-level engineer in IT systems engineering, infrastructure, or enterprise platforms
• Deep knowledge of operating systems, networking foundations, identity and access patterns, and enterprise infrastructure building blocks
• Strong background in system design, automation, reliability practices, and large-scale operational environments
• Ability to lead multi-team technical initiatives, set standards, and influence without relying only on hierarchy
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills for reviews, proposals, runbooks, and stakeholder updates
• Hands-on familiarity with modern tooling for configuration management, monitoring, CI/CD, and cloud or hybrid estates as relevant to IT systems work
• A disciplined approach to security, compliance awareness, change control, and operational excellence
• Comfort mentoring others and raising the bar for engineering quality in a full-time, on-site role based in Noida - Sector 135
