Senior PR Manager (m/w/d) – Remote oder Berlin

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential communications consultancy seeking a Senior PR Manager to drive strategic media relations and client success. In this role, you will:

• Develop tailored PR strategies for B2B and B2C clients with a clear focus on securing meaningful placements in relevant German and European media
• Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, managing communication at C-level, developing quarterly plans with measurable KPIs, and proactively identifying story opportunities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists across leading and trade publications in the DACH region
• Monitor the news landscape actively to identify timely hooks and angles before competitors do
• Leverage AI tools for research, pitch preparation, and topic scouting to free up time for creative thinking and relationship building
• Share knowledge openly with the team through peer-to-peer feedback and collaborative learning
• Execute individualized, editorially-driven pitching by phone rather than mass distribution

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of hands-on PR experience, ideally in an agency environment, with proven success placing clients in German leading and trade media
• Strong consultative skills: you can analyze target audiences and markets, translate business goals into PR strategies, and define measurable initiatives
• An established network of journalist contacts and the ability to build trust-based relationships
• Journalistic thinking combined with strategic communication expertise
• Self-directed work style with a collaborative mindset and willingness to share expertise
• Pragmatic use of AI tools to accelerate workflows while maintaining creative and substantive depth
• German language proficiency at C2 level and professional English communication skills
• Must be based in Germany
